  • Sadness, doubting self, empty, loss of interest, feeling worthless or guilty,
  • Fatigue or a loss of energy, Insomnia or hypersomnia nearly every day
  • Thoughts of suicide or death
  • Hard to concentrate and issues with making plans or decisions
  • Angry or frustrated
Working together we can learn how to manage your depressive symptoms with coping skills. Empathizing with the individual training them to understand and cope with depression and sometimes referring out for med evaluation.
Coping skills:  Creating a routine, challenging the negative thoughts, do something different, setting small obtainable goals, exercise, nutrition, reduce stress. Becoming aware of your accomplishments like getting out the bed, taking shower, or getting out of the house. These simple positive things you do every day can help with depression.
Here are a few questions: I may ask my new clients to assess for depression: How long have you been in the relationship with depression, when did it start? When are you not depressed? What kind of pain is it causing you? If you woke up tomorrow and your depression was gone, what would your life look like?
